I started this out of frustration with the chain car washes that scratch paint and miss half the interior. Detailing, done properly, is detail work — and it shows up in the result six months later when the water still beads.
Most of my clients are repeat. Once you've seen what a proper two-bucket wash, clay-bar decon, and ceramic coat does to a daily driver, you stop going back to the drive-through.
